Now this is some news we can get excited about. Next month (May 1st), beloved Brixton bistro The Laundry – home to gorgeous Modern European dishes and a bangin’ weekend brunch – is set to launch L’Apéro, a new happy hour offering discounted cocktails every Monday to Friday from 5pm to 6pm. If there’s one thing we enjoy it’s getting more booze for your British buck. Served inside and out on the bistro’s Parisian-inspired terrace, L’Apéro will be perfect for al fresco sundowners in South London this summer.

L’Apéro, short for apéritif, will mark that sacred moment and cultural ritual in France where the working day transitions to an evening of conviviality with friends or a loved one, and will see the bistro’s expertly crafted cocktails available for just £7, including the signature Cucumber Margarita and other popular serves: Passionfruit Mule, Brixton Blossom, Espresso Martini and Guava Bramble. Spritzes and non-alcoholic cocktails will also be reduced to £5, including The Laundry No-Groni and Virgin Wasabi Mary.

Plates and bar snacks from the all-day menu will be available to order alongside L’Apéro, including Pulled pork croquettes with green goddess and Burrata on toast with truffle thyme honey, and larger plates such as Bavette steak with café de Paris butter and fries for those looking for a full meal.
