Valentine’s Day at home no longer feels like the compromise option. In 2026, staying in can mean better food, fewer reservations and none of the stuffy set menus. From indulgent dinner kits to breakfast in bed, these at-home ideas prove romance doesn’t have to leave the sofa.
1. For Breakfast in Bed: Pophams

What: For anyone who’d rather stay under the duvet than book a table, Pophams is delivering Valentine’s breakfast instead. Its 2026 Breakfast in Bed collection lands on 14th February, with a limited run of curated pastry-heavy packages.

Where: Pre-orders close on 12th February with delivery aimed for 10am within a two-mile radius of London Fields.
2. For a Spicy Love-In: Dishoom

What: Planning to sit Valentine’s Day out rather than book a table, Dishoom’s Chicken Ruby meal kit makes a strong case for staying in.
Eat and Drink: Named after the Cockney rhyming slang for curry, the dish is the restaurant’s rich, tomato-led take on butter chicken. The kit includes naan, bhel, basmati rice, Tenderstem broccoli and Dishoom’s black daal, with Gulkand Mess (strawberries in rose syrup with cream and meringue) for dessert. It’s intended for two, though portion sizes are on the generous side.
Where: £47.50 per kit. Pre-orders open on 29th January via Dishoom’s online store. Deliveries are available across early and mid-February, including Valentine’s Day itself.

The main event is duck confit, paired with braised red cabbage, harissa-honey roasted vegetables, new potatoes and a cherry-and-Calvados jus.
