1. Famous Ramen at Ivan Ramen, Clerkenwell

What: The UK’s ramen game just levelled up. Ivan Orkin – the world-renowned chef featured on Netflix’s Chef’s Table – brings his cult-favourite noodle bowls from Tokyo and New York to Farringdon, opening his first permanent London restaurant on November 19th. Expect iconic ramen classics and a London-exclusive Salt Beef Bao: a brilliant mash-up of East End bagel flavours in a steamy bao bun.
The Lowdown: Ivan Ramen’s 26-seat space is intimate, buzzy and a guaranteed destination for serious noodle fans. Classic Tonkotsu, Chicken Paitan, Kara-age chicken, and Spicy Miso Ramen headline the menu, with each bowl made to Orkin’s exacting standards – springy noodles, rich broths, and all the extras you’d expect. The Salt Beef Bao, inspired by local legends, packs in warm beef, pickles, and fiery mustard mayo.

2. Sardinian Wine Dinner at Franco’s, Mayfair

What: Franco’s, one of London’s oldest Italian restaurants, celebrates its 80th anniversary with a rare Sardinian Wine Dinner on 10 November – an evening of exquisite wines and island-inspired cuisine.
The Lowdown: The event features rare vintages handpicked by Franco’s Head Sommelier Paolo Pellegrino, and guest appearances from esteemed winemaker Gianluigi Deaddis and Cantina Monti. Expect a curated four-course menu including Lobster alla Catalana,roasted Sardinian suckling pig, and Sebadas with chestnut honey ice cream – all expertly paired with Sardinian wines.

The Lowdown: Everything at Wonton Charlie’s is made from scratch: springy yellow egg noodles, rich slow-cooked broths and customisable wonton, each skillfully wrapped in house-made skins. Add-ons include daily-made fish balls, and sauces are crafted with care. Designed for walk-in only, the 18-seat space delivers high-energy, functional vibes, replicating Hong Kong’s noodleshop experience right in London Fields.

5. Grab and Go at HOP Vietnamese, King’s Cross
