It might be a new year but ultimately we’re all creatures of habit; the same sandwich for lunchtime and time again, we meet our friends in that old familiar pub, and the same mentality can easily creep into a fitness routine. And once the boredom sets in, the results – together with the engagement – tend to swiftly bailout. Leaving our comfort zones, by its very definition, isn’t an easy thing to do. We believe it’s better to dive straight in rather than to dip your toe, so we have the perfect week for you. Barry’s Hell Week offers you and your fitness to find a new lease of life in the process. Here’s what you need to know…

Barry’s Hell Week: The Lowdown

Barry’s Hell Week challenge is legendary. A global event, taking place simultaneously at Barry’s studios across the globe, only runs in months that have 5 Mondays – the next one taking place w/c 29th January 2024. The challenge tasks people to take 7 Barry’s classes in 7 consecutive days. Guests can attend any class at any Barry’s studio (Barry’s has 7 in London plus one in Manchester and one in Liverpool). Once you’re consistent for the week, you’re going to be hooked.

Barry’s offers a special Hell Week class pack that costs £103 and includes all 7 classes including the option to go to LIFT – a small group strength-based class, within a separate studio at Barry’s Soho, that uses dumbbells, resistance bands, and bodyweight – no treadmill required.

Barry’s is the original high-energy, cardio and strength interval training workout that pioneered the boutique fitness movement. Founded in 1998, the signature Barry’s method has remained the same for the past 24 years because it works: a 50-minute class can burn calories, increase lean body mass, and raise metabolic rate to 15%.

No matter where you are in the world, each Barry’s class takes place in its signature Red Room: a dimly-lit studio that allows participants to focus on the motivating cues from best-in-class instructors and lose themselves in the energy of those around them. Barry’s signature schedule offers classes that alternate muscle focus every day of the week, to ensure the body gets a balanced workout and proper time to recover.
