Here’s a selection of tracks getting more than a few plays in the About Time office this week:

Sia – Chandelier

Next on the conveyer belt of emphatic belters written by Sia Furler (I mean just look at this…) is Chandelier, whose heavyweight chorus launches you straight back up to the same place that tracks like Titanium and Diamonds had left you before. Promising to “live like tomorrow doesn’t exist” before admitting “I’m just holding on for tonight,” you also get the emotional uncertainty that we have seen with previous Sia’s tracks, but if you were looking for a giant chorus to get behind this week – Chandelier is the one for you. Wu Tang Clan – Keep Watch

One of rap music’s best loved institutions Wu Tang Clan return for the first time in seven years with the smooth hook of “Keep Watch”. They’ve described the track themselves as a “Classic ‘90s Mono Beat, infused with lyical dart throwing content.” Get listening. TL

Jungle – Busy Earnin’

Jungle’s funky, summer sounds are back as they bring us their new single Busy Earnin’ which is due to be released April 7th. They have finished the first leg of their UK tour, however if you’re in need of somewhere other than your bedroom to unleash your Jungle induced grooves then fear not – as they will be returning to various locations in the UK in May, including Oval Space on the 23rd. Moods – Pushin’ On

Moods revive a relic from the past by embedding Alice Russell’s rich, soulful vocals from the original track by Quantic Soul Orchestra into pulsing, dreamy beats. With talk of a new album being released soon, Moods is sure one to keep your eyes on over the next few weeks. OR

The Black Keys – Turn Blue

Finally, this week we’ve also been blessed with news that Nashville’s best are back, as the Black Keys add more-than-just-a-bit psychedelic keys to their sound on new offering Fever, set to feature on an album called Turn Blue expected later this year. TL
