This matcha smoothie recipe is a good mid-way point between the sweet all-fruit smoothies most people buy and the more green healthy ones. The avocado is a great source of vitamin E and healthy fats, which will help your skin glow. If you like the idea of getting some veggie goodness in the morning, but can’t quite face the idea of kale or broccoli this smoothie is a sublime alternative.

Matcha Smoothie Tips:

I tend to use some variety of milk, but coconut water is also a good option. If you have blueberries, strawberries or cherries in the house, by all means chuck em into the mix for a delicious smoothie. Equally play around with a little spicing, such as ground cardamom, or even a little grated lemongrass (sounds bizarre but it works) to make the recipe your own. I like to include a little teaspoon of matcha (the fine green tea powder) for extra antioxidants and a caffeine kick into mine. Hey presto, perfect smoothie in seconds.
