To mark its 10th birthday, Koya, the udon noodle specialist in Soho and the City, will celebrate a decade of business in the capital this month by bringing back some of its much-loved signature dishes from the past 10 years to its ‘blackboard specials’ menu, with two dishes available each week from Monday 19th October.

Since co-founders John Devitt, Shuko Oda and Junya Yamasaki launched Koya on Soho’s Frith Street in 2010, it has become renowned for its handmade udon and dashi, as well as its regularly-changing blackboard menu of specials, focused around innovative dishes that have been pushing the boundaries of Japanese food in London for the past 10 years.

Head chef and co-owner Shuko Oda has curated a selection of Koya’s 10 most iconic dishes from the past decade which will be available to its customers over a 5 week period from 19th October through into November, with each dish featuring for one week only. Dishes include Koya’s English Breakfast Udon, Kedgeree, and  Sunomono Kohlrabi Salad with Green Tomato, Artichoke and Mexican Marigold. Koya will also launch a limited edition birthday tote bag, available from 19th October.
