About Time: You Attended Love Trails x lululemon’s Virtual Race and Wellbeing FestivalBy Angelica Malin
Love Trails, the world’s first trail running and music festival, is going virtual this year in partnership with athletic apparel brand lululemon and Be More You, whose mission is to raise mental health awareness in the global running community.
Hosted on Saturday 10th October to coincide with World Mental Health Day, the one-day festival will offer a virtual programme of inspiring talks, workshops, runs, panel discussions, mindfulness and yoga. The festival line-up includes runners, crews, clubs and collectives offering expertise and sharing ideas on the power of movement, running and connection to support mental wellbeing.
Participants are invited to join socially distanced or solo 5k and 10k runs. There’s also panels and classes led by experts including lululemon Global Run Ambassadors Samantha Gash, professional endurance athlete and adventurer, and Charlie Dark, Founder of Run Dem Crew, as well as the Founders of Bridge Runners, Good Runners and NBRO Running.
To unwind, reflect and recover, the timetable also offers breathwork, yoga and meditation from lululemon Ambassadors Richie Bostock, breathwork teacher and author of ‘Exhale’, and yoga teacher Maude Hirst.
In addition, there will be a therapeutic harp meditation with Julia Mitchell, laughter yoga with Lotte Mikkelsen and workshops on topics covering a range of mental health and environmental issues.
The virtual race is open to everyone from all capabilities and backgrounds.
