New menus, anyone? London restaurants are banging out new menus thick and fast, and we’ve discovered our favourite five.
1. For a Brinner Menu: Where the Pancakes Are
What: Where The Pancakes Are has launched a masterful evening ‘Brinner’ menu centred around dishes that fuse breakfast and dinner together, letting you get your pancake fix into the night.
The Menu: The unique ‘Brinner’ offering includes sweet and savoury dishes, ranging from the vegan smoky Southern Jackfruit BBQ Pancakes – topped with sour cream, pickled red onion and spicy corn-coleslaw, to its meaty counterpart, Pulled Beef Pastrami Pancakes – topped with slow cooked brisket, cheddar, sauerkraut and 1000 island sauce. Sweet-toothed? Order the Banana Marshmallow Pancakes topped with banana, honeycomb, fluffy marshmallow cream and a rich chocolate or salted caramel sauce, or the seasonal Strawberries and Cream Pancake.

2. For a Tasting Menu: Aquavit
What: Nordic-inspired restaurant Aquavit London has introduced a new weekly-changing five-course tasting menu from Head Chef Jonas Karlsson.
The Menu: Taking its lead from Nordic seasonal changes, enjoy a sensational five-course spread with showstopping Scandinavian plates. Whilst the menu changes weekly, expect freshly baked rye bread with cod roe butter to start, with other dishes such as Nuet cured gravlax with dill mayonnaise, and smoked duck breast with a cabernet sauvignon vinaigrette. For a sweet finale, puddings like the traditional baked ostkaka or sea buckthorn and orange sorbet.

3. For a Lunch Menu: Oblix West
What: Oblix West have revealed its brand new lunch menu, 32 stories high in The Shard – and it’s a winner.
The Menu: Highlights of Oblix West’s new lunch menu, served straight out of the open kitchen, include starters such as Seared tuna, spicy avocado, heritage radish and smoked olive oil as well as Beef carpaccio with mustard dressing, parmesan and watercress. Meanwhile, the main courses feature standout dishes including wild mushroom orzo, cashew cheese and black truffle, and as well as rotisserie chicken, lemon, rosemary and garlic mashed potatoes. Dessert? We’re all about the New York Cheesecake with macadamia and caramelised banana sorbet.

4. For a Friday Night Menu: Shiro
What: Introducing Shiro Nights at Shiro – a unique free-flow Friday dinner experience. Book a table between 5pm-6pm and tuck into an exquisite, multi-course Japanese dinner alongside a variety of free-flow drink packages to begin the weekend.
The Menu: The three-course feast features a selection of starters followed by a choice of main and a delightful mochi dessert for a sweet finish. Highlights from the menu include rock shrimp tempura with spicy chilli and garlic mayonnaise, grilled baby chicken with goma yuzu miso and the Omakase sushi platter. There’s also the option for unlimited Prosecco, wine and beer or upgrade to the deluxe package which includes free-flowing Champagne and sake.

5. For a Brunch Menu: M Canary Wharf
What: Just in time for summer, kick start your weekend and celebrate in style with M Canary Wharf’s St Tropez-inspired brunch.
The Menu: Indulge in two sweet and savoury courses, from croque madame and entrecôte steak to crêpes suzette. And there’s a bottomless option, with free-flowing Mirabeau rosé and gin cocktails, as well as live DJs and mega views of the river.

6. For a Summer Lunch: Gail’s Bakery
What: Get your lunch fix with GAIL’s Bakery new summer menu. The menu embraces Summer and warmth bringing an abundance of fresh ingredients and summer vegetables. There are still a few new sweet treat for those who arent fans of their veggies!
The Menu: The new summer menu includes a selection of new product launches such as a soft brioche bun filled with pistachio frangipane then topped with vanilla mascarpone through to the return of GAIL’s Carrot Cake.
The sweet treats will arrive on the menu alongside new savouries such as the Sundried Tomato and Artichoke Quiche and the Tomato and Courgette Slice. These new menu items will be a staple for summer picnics, in-bakery lunches and refreshing iced drinks on the go.
