You can now can you mitts on bold Southeast Asian flavours and ingredients, delivered straight to your door, thanks to the arrival of Lucky Cock.
This delivery and pick-up-only kitchen specialise in fresh, fragrant and punchy Indonesian comfort food and chicken dishes, with vegetarian options, flavour-packed small plates and sides available too. The menu features Lucky Cock’s signature rice bowls, which are the perfect size for one person. Choices include Balinese sisit chicken with shredded spiced chicken, green bean salad, crispy tofu and chilli egg; a rich and coconutty chicken rendang; and the ever-popular nasi goreng (available with or without chicken). Hungry for more? You can go all-out and order a half or whole fried or soy chicken to share.
Everything is served with spicy Indonesian sambals and vinaigrettes infused with shrimp paste, lime leaves and lemongrass for extra zing, and there’s the option to customise meals further with a range of sides including chili eggs, crunchy cucumber pickles and green bean salad.
Lucky Cock comes from Chef and Indonesian founder Aman Lakhiani who has extensively travelled his home country, picking up ideas and inspiration along the way. Each dish on his carefully considered menu is bursting with traditional ingredients such as terasi (fermented shrimp paste), gula jawa (palm sugar), galangal and candlenuts to ensure each bite is as fresh, fragrant, and vibrant as can be.
Available for collection and via Uber Eats for delivery within a three-kilometre radius of Seymour Place. Tuesday to Sunday 12pm to 10pm.
