Carpe Diem Britain! To celebrate one of the most auspicious days in the calendar, World Nutella Day, Deliveroo has teamed up with kebab connoisseurs Kabab – to create something never seen before on the British Isles: The Nutella Kebab.
The Nutella Kebab: The Lowdown
Combining two of our favourite food staples, the mighty chicken and the even mightier Nutella, the specially created kebab is being sold from Monday to Friday this week exclusively on Deliveroo – so Brits won’t even need to brave the snow to enjoy this quirky dish.
The Nutella Kebab: The Idea
The delicious savoury kebab was created by firstly marinating chicken thighs in the dreamy spread for 6 hours before flame grilling to perfection. To add some extra va-va-voom to the recipe Kabab season this crispy chicken with cumin, cayenne pepper and fresh lemon juice to help enhance the signature hazelnut flavours.
The Nutella Kebab: But Why?
Joe Groves at Deliveroo said “World Nutella Day is fast becoming one of the craziest food days in the calendar. We love any excuse to come up with an oddball dish and today is no exception. Deliveroo is all about giving Brits the chance to try any and all foods they fancy, no judgement here Britain!”
Phil Hinitt at Kabab added “At Kabab we’re really flexible with flavours and love to give unconventional pairings a try, so when Deliveoro mentioned World Nutella Day to us, it didn’t take much convincing. We love pairing this with our Halloumi Fries and Harrissa Yoghurt, go on, give it go”.
The Nutella Kebab will be sold across all of Kabab’s sites this week via Deliveroo, priced at £9.
