We can now ‘wear what we eat’.
From designer to high street, you can sport anything from Anya Hindmarch cereal-box clutches to Saucony burger trainers (yes, really). However, a concept so ordinary has proved controversial and Food Fashion is a bit like Marmite (sorry) – it’ll either have you wailing into your classic Chanel that ‘chic is dead’ or have you praising Jeremy Scott in Lichtenstein speech bubbles.
Food fashion divides people, to some it’s ‘playful’ and ‘fun’, for others it screams midlife crisis. Indeed, the food may be fast, but this concept as an art form certainly isn’t, so splash or invest, love it or hate it – foodie fashion is here to stay!
