What: Did you enjoy the last Edinburgh Fringe? If the answer is yes, or you just love theatre that makes you think, why don’t you head down to Pleasance Islington for ‘Free Fall’, the latest masterpiece by Vinay Patel, writer of True Brits. It’s a stunning piece of theatre that highlights the complexities of mental health, loneliness and how technology plays a massive impact on things. Basically, it’s great.

2. Get Drunk On The Tube

What: The Underground Drinking Club. Yes, you read that right! A sweet pop-up of cocktails and candlelight has opened up in Old Street station, complete with mixologists, bartenders and Russian Standard Platinum Vodka, will ensure a night you’ll never forget.

Where: Old Street Station plays host to the unique event, so keep your oyster card by your side and enjoy your night of underground drinking.

When: The pop-up bar is opening up on Saturday, October 18th, each two-hour sitting is priced at £25 per person, and prices include bespoke drinks all the evening. The sittings run from 6pm-8pm, 8:30pm-10:30pm and 11pm-1am.

3. Watch Cracking Comedy in Soho

What: If an evening of comedy is more up your street, Ahmed Ahmed brings his brand new stand-up show to London’s Soho for a hilarious run. Ahmed has starred in Iron Man, Swingers and You Don’t Mess With The Zohan, so his tour is one you won’t want to miss!

Where: Ahmed’s tour Ahmedica is playing at the Soho Theatre, 21 Dean Street, London W1D 3NE – 020 7478 0100.

4. Check Out the Etsy Exhibition in Shoreditch

What: Have you wished away hours surfing etsy.com? Good news! The top 15 artists from the site have been selected to showcase an open exhibition of their best pieces. You can browse all the different artworks from outside a computer screen, and even meet the faces behind some of your favourite prints. 

Where: Get yourself down to 5th Base Gallery, 23 Heneage Street, Brick Lane, London, E1 5LJ so bag yourself a bargain.

When: The exhibition will run until Sunday, October 19th. Opening times vary, Saturday doors open at 11-6, and 11-3 on Sunday. It’s a free event but entry is on a first-come first-served basis so get there in plenty of time.

5. Drinks and Bowl at Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes

What: If you’re stuck for Friday night plans, Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes is the perfect place for you. There will be live music from great DJs, great drinks and the usual aspects of a night out, but with one big difference. Set in an adult playground, there will be rooms set up of all your childhood favourites – bowling, karaoke, ping-pong and arcades. What more could you want?
