Diaries at the ready:
Deliveroo, the award winning food and drinks delivery service, will be hosting a large interactive lounge area at The Spirits Show, dubbed the Roo-fuel zone. Here you can sample some tasty snacks and play some larger than life games, where there’s a chance to win prizes from Deliveroo’s drinks partners. Deliveroo will be letting guests try their luck at Roo-pong and several foodie themed buzz wire games. Get involved.
Lucky for attendees – when booking your ticket to the show, you will be able to click through to book your chosen masterclasses. There’s lots of amazing masterclasses taking place; spirit experts Neil Ridley and Joel Harrison from World’s Best Spirits will be running a range of classes alongside their resident Rum expert Peter Holland from the Floating Rum Shack. Masterclasses include A Botanical Bonanza + Blend Your Own Gin, where you can discover the wonderful world of botanicals, then blend YOUR OWN gin to take home using your favourites, all under the expert tuition of resident spirit supremos Joel Harrison and Neil Ridley. There’s also The History of Rum in 4 Cocktails – where you will go back in time as you explore the history of rum, stopping for cocktails along the way. Other masterclasses include World Whiskies Masterclass, Vodka from Around The World and all masterclasses are buy 1 get 1 half price.
The Spirit Show allows you to explore all the best rums in the world – there’s a rum masterclass, exploring the history of rum with experts, as well as exceptional rums being exhibited at the show. There’s rum from all around the world, including Bajam rum produced at the award-winning Foursquare Distillery and unmistakably Jamaican Rum-Bar Rum. They’ve rums from St Vincent (Sunset Rum), Grenada (Westerhall), Martinique (Rhum H.S.E.) and Roatán (Pirates Grog) as well – so you certainly won’t go thirsty.
Christmas is all about gin for me, and there’s some great gins showing at The Spirit Show. Whether it be finding a showstopper gin for a dinner party with friends, the ideal rum for your notoriously difficult to please boss or the finest whisky to relax with on Christmas Day, The Spirit Show has you covered. Highlights include Elephant Slow Gin, which is flavoured with sloe berries, Pinkster, a small-batch gin made with fresh raspberries, and Trevethan Gin, which is made using a family recipe created in rural Cornwall back in the 1920’s. Of course, all tickets include UNLIMITED tastings from over 200 of the world’s finest spirits, a delicious meal at the Street Food Village and a limited edition tasting glass – perfect for some Christmas shopping.
You can’t miss the Winter Wonderland bar. Described as “London’s most mischievous bar group”, The London Cocktail Club are bringing the magic of Christmas to the show with a Winter Wonderland bar. The LCC Spirit Show Menu includes Winter Wonderland, a delectable mix of Chocolat Coconut and Salted Karamel Vodka shaken with coffee, almond and vanilla syrup and Movie Nights, a blend of Salted Karamel Vodka, malt chocolate and popcorn syrup.
