2. For a New Brunch: Dirty Bones Soho

What: Dirty Bones on Denman Street, Soho is now open. Like their other sites across the capital – brunch here is an absolute yolk fest. There’s plenty of indulgent brunch eats to get stuck into, and heady cocktails to guzzle. If you’re longing for something more than porridge this weekend, Dirty Bones is your best bet.

Eat and Drink: As with the current Dirty Bones locations in Kensington, Carnaby and Shoreditch, Dirty Bones Soho also serves a mighty fine weekend brunch, complete with Boozy Brunch Cocktail Flights, hollandaise-topped Dirty crumpets, short rib hash served with potatoes and two sunny side up fried eggs, and Dirty Bones’ signature chicken and waffles topped with a fried egg. For something sweet, the caramelised banana waffles with Toblerone,
chocolate sauce, blueberry jam, salted peanut butter gelato and crushed nuts is sugary and delicious. A selection of cold pressed juices and creative hot drinks such as the turmeric latte and Dirty chai are also available.

3. For a New Sunday Brunch: W London

What: In need of some Vit C lovin’ after a Saturday night on the tiles? W London has you covered. The hotel has just introduced a Sunday brunch which promises to fuel your body with a decadent circuit-style foodie offering: replenish with a mix of healthy eats, incredible desserts, and plenty of bubbles (because hair of the dog is the best idea, right?).

Eat and Drink: Dig into the fuel station featuring virtuous plates –  there’s pecan granola and low fat yogurt; chia seed, almond milk, raspberries and crunchy nuts; roasted vegetables and red quinoa; and pumpkin and barley salad. Leave room for the bowl foods, including mini egg Benedict and Florentine; mini pancake topped with caramelised banana and maple syrup; sirloin steak served with mash potato; and salmon steak and glazed baby vegetables. The hotel also offers an Iberico ham bar and cheese station and finish (or start) with their loaded dessert stage, starring Oreo cheesecake, matcha and toffee panna cotta, and rose gateau to name a few.

4. For New Brunch Dishes: Friends of Ours

What: Friends of Ours can do no wrong in our eyes – their coffee creations are on point (go for the oat milk latte), and their brunch dishes are always quirky and bursting with flavours. The kitchen team have been busy whipping up new spring dishes – bold claim, but we think it’s their best menu yet.

Eat and Drink: Asian flavours take centre stage on the new menu. Tuck into fried chicken bao with lime coriander mayo, hot sauce, bread and butter cucumbers, salted sunflower praline and coriander; sweet potato and kimchi hash with kimchi mayo and a poached egg; and pork congee topped with black truffle, charred asparagus and crispy matchstick potatoes. The classic Eggs Benedict has been pimped up with shaoxing glazed ham hock, apple cider hollandaise and wasabi pea puree, and the avocado on toast is now served with pomegranate seeds, cream cheese, nasturtium, toasted hemp and yuzu dressing. Tasty stuff.
