Looking for a feast? Get your stretchy pants on, here’s 5 ways to enjoy brunch in London this weekend:

1. For a New Brunch: Claude Bosi at Bibendum 

What: Since acclaimed French chef Claude Bosi took over the reins as chef patron of South Kensington’s iconic Bibendum building at the beginning of this year, this beloved gastronomic and architectural icon has undergone a series of changes in both upstairs and down. And now, the restaurant has launched a brand new brunch menu and it’s damn fine.

Eat and Drink: The brand-new breakfast and brunch menu now features: Bibendum oyster omelette; Bibendum LBT toastie featuring lobster, bacon, onion and cheese; smoked trout with scrambled eggs; squid, shrimp and cheddar toastie; and mushrooms, garlic and parsley on toast. And there’s plenty of stella coffee, juices and lighter options like homemade granola and fruits; as well as fresh croissants and pain au chocolate from Hedone available.

2. For a Brunch Event: The Ivy Soho Brasserie

What: On Sunday (17th September), The Ivy Soho Brasserie will host a playful Drag Queen Brunch to celebrate London’s Fashion Week. Set within the heart of Soho, guests who dine for brunch between 11am – 4pm will be greeted and hosted by two  drag queens – Tiffaney Wells and Adora – to ignite their dining experience. This exclusive theatrical performance is available for one day only.

Eat and Drink: The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s brunch menu will be available featuring an array of The Ivy Collection classic dishes, such as chicken Milanese; hot buttermilk pancakes topped with strawberries, raspberries and blackberries with Greek yoghurt, lemon balm and warm strawberry sauce; and wild mushrooms on toasted brioche with grated truffle and Gran Moravia. Other delights from the brunch menu include steak egg and chips; grilled full lobster with parsley and garlic butter; and the HLT sandwich with grilled halloumi, avocado, black olive, red pepper, tomato and baby gem with herb mayonnaise.

3. For a South London Brunch: Aside 

What: The team behind Old Spike Roastery are the clan also at the forefront of neighbourhood Peckham restaurant, Aside. Matthew Wright, formerly of St John’s Tavern (Archway), and Christian Taylor, formerly of Heirloom (Crouch End) are the duo in the kitchen, banGing out seasonal brunch eats on Saturday, and mega roasts on Sunday.

Eat and Drink: The Aside menus are led by local produce and change daily accordingly to availability and seasonality; meats are sourced from local independent butcheries Flock and Herd and Proud Sow, vegetables from Southwark-based Natoora and cheeses from family-run Jones of Brockley. The menu features the likes of wild mushrooms on sourdough; goat’s cheese rosti and poached eggs; full English; and plenty of veggie alternative. On Sundays, enjoy a short sharing plates menu alongside a roast with a choice of at least three cuts of meat, which change weekly, accompanied by Yorkshire puddings, dripping roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

4. For a Musical Brunch: Rex Whistler Restaurant at Tate Britain 

What: Rex Whistler at Tate Britain will be hosting an Autumn Jazz brunch series every Saturday from this weekend (16th September) until the end of October. Following the success of the inaugural summer brunch series, Rex Whistler restaurant invites everyone to indulge in more music and fine food this autumn.

Eat and Drink: From 12pm a live three- piece Jazz trio will take to the stage and perform inside the restaurant. Menu highlights include freshly shucked oysters; eggs Benedict; and omelette Arnold Bennet. Seasonal British seafood, hand-cut steak tartare and fine British cheese are also available alongside Bloody Marys, gin cocktails and a varied wine list.

5. For an Immersive Brunch: Bunga Bunga Covent Garden 

What: Bunga Bunga are known for their boozy brunch pizza parties, but there’s a new hot topic on everyone’s lips: Bunga Bunga Covent Garden’s brand new bottomless Matinee Brunch. On every Saturday from the 16th September, this immersive dining experience features some of the most notorious characters Italy has ever seen. Enjoy your eggs with a side of am-dram this weekend.

Eat and Drink: The four course Italian style brunch begins with warm brioche bread, served with burrata and homemade tomato jam, followed by antipasto boards. And of course, Bunga Bunga‘s renowned meter long brunch metro pizzas, complete with three different toppings including Tuscan sausage; pancetta and baked egg; and mozzarella, spinach and stracchino cream, before finishing with a drunken espresso tiramisu.
