Looking for a good munch this weekend? Sunday feasting is our big thing at the moment – we love nothing more than a good leisurely lunch with pals. Here’s our favourite Sunday sharing menus in the capital:

1. For an Italian Menu: Veneta

What: Veneta in St James’s Market has recently launched a dreamy Sunday Feasts menu including free-flowing drinks. For £35 per person, the menu includes four decadent courses as well as unlimited Prosecco or Venetian red or white wine. What a steal.

Eat and Drink: Sunday lunches in Italy are a long, leisurely affair that are embraced by both families and friends, and Veneta’s Head Chef, Jamie Thickett, has reflected this in the Sunday feasting menu. Charcuterie; olives; homemade focaccia; and sardines in saor will be followed by Primi including kid goat ragu with fresh pappardelle, Secondi such as whole grilled bream with fennel, blood orange and agretti, and for dessert, saffron ice cream with rhubarb and blood orange.

2. For a BBQ Feast: Bo Drake

What: Modern Asian restaurant Bó Drake is celebrating the arrival of summer with the launch of a brand new BBQ Sharing Tray, a Sunday feast for two piled high with smoked and grilled meats. Priced at £20 per person, it’s the perfect, summery alternative to the Sunday roast.

Eat and Drink: Designed with group dining in mind, the new tray contains the following dishes and sides: miso glazed baby back ribs; samjang smoked chicken; smoked pulled pork; chorizo sausage with doubanjiang honey sauce; sweet potato fries; bao buns and wrapping lettuce; and kimchi and pickles. The tray combines the sweet and pickled influences of East Asia, with the slow-cooked BBQ methods popularized in the Americas and Europe, making for a mouthwatering East meets West experience.

Eat and Drink: For exactly the same price as their usual Monday-Friday menus, you’ll get tons extra. Kick off with Thunderbird’s Mega Bucket, a mighty mountain of six crispy fried chicken pieces (that’s a whopping 50% more than usual), then supersize your brunch at BOB’s Lobster with a double helping of salmon or lobster eggs royale, plus a free Mimosa on the side. Make sure you save room for the bigger BOB’s burger – because two patties are always better than one. Double the fun at Yum Bun with double the Yumplings – six freshly steamed dumplings covered in spicy sauces instead of three – or bring the whole family down and go sharesies on Little José’s Tapas Tray – a sensational Spanish spread including Daily Croquetas, Padron Peppers, Calamari with squid ink aioli, Patatas Bravas with spicy tomato sauce and jamon with piquillo peppers – only on the weekend menu.
