1. For a New Flavour: Firefly x Ryan Chetiyawardana

What: This Spring, Firefly is launching Superfly, a brand new botanical blend set to complement those lighter, brighter days ahead. Created with award-winning bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana AKA Mr Lyan, the floral bottle is inked with Mr Lyan’s signature.

The Lowdown: Superfly blends Cascara, a cherry-like by-product from coffee production, Wormwood, a bitter herb used traditionally in vermouth, bitters and absinthe, with the energising and aphrodisiac Kola Nut. Notes of Green Coffee add an adult, dry finish and the aromatic fruitiness of grapefruit and redcurrant. Best served in a tall glass with a sprig of mint or mixed with your favourite spirit (Ryan recommends scotch or gin), Firefly’s Superfly is super tasty.

2. For a Dairy-Free Beverage: Jimmy’s Iced Coffee

What: Jimmy’s Iced Coffee has launched an epic new dairy-free flavour for the summer. This is the first time that the Bournemouth based beverage company has made a non-dairy variety. Heaps of folks are looking for milk alternatives, and this awesome new flavour will rock the taste buds of those who have previously missed out on the refreshing taste of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee.

The Lowdown: After months of research, the family-owned company chose oat milk as their dairy alternative because of its subtle nutty flavour and super refreshing taste when blended and chilled with coffee. For a new twist try pouring over cereal, dunking pastries or served over ice for an extra hit of refreshment.

3. For Healthy Puddings: GATŌ & Co

What: If you’re not familiar with GATŌ & Co, here’s what you need to know: GATŌ makes healthier puddings. The start-up, created in 2016 by French entrepreneur Charlotte Dauzat, launched its nature-inspired, healthy individual desserts in early January 2017 in Selfridges.

The Lowdown: Made with fruits, vegetables and superfoods, its brownie, fondant and sponge are naturally gluten, dairy and refined sugar-free. The range includes chocolate and coconut brownie,  aubergine and chocolate fondant, and orange and cardamon polenta sponge.

4. For Vegan Bites: Ms Cupcake 

What: Ms Cupcake is London’s first entirely vegan bakery. The team are based bang in the middle of Brixton and have been flogging the naughtiest vegan cakes in town since 2011. Vegans and non-vegans travel far and wide to get their hands on their cupcakes, brownies and slices.

The Lowdown: Their last product launch was the brookie, a cookie/brownie hybrid which caused quite the stir. Now, it’s all about their new vegan millionaire shortbread. A combination of dark chocolate, dates and other yummy plant powered ingredients. Perfect afternoon treat with a cuppa.

5. For a Citrus Yogurt: The Coconut Collaborative

What: The Coconut Collaborative have added another dessert to their expanding range. If you haven’t tried their natural coconut yogurt, it’s our pick of the bunch, but their new Little Lemon Temptations​ are made with coconut cream and real lemon juice.

The Lowdown: The ​Little Lemon Temptations join the ​Mini ​Choc Pots and ​Rice Pudding ​in The Coconut Collaborative dessert collection, creating a trio of healthier puds. As well as being free-from dairy, soya and gluten, they are packed with the goodness of coconuts.

6. For All the Chocolate: Aero Heavenly

What: Aero’s mint mousse yogurts already send us into a spin, but they’ve just launched an exciting new dessert which combines chocolate, caramel and chopped nuts for a unique mousse experience. And it’s really good.

The Lowdown: The new dessert comes in a large single pot and features textured, fluffy mousse with rich swirls of caramel sauce and sprinkles of chopped nuts to create the most tempting combination of textures. The Aero Heavenly comes in two flavours: a rich chocolate mousse with salted caramel sauce, scattered with hazelnuts, and a salted caramel mousse, including a caramel sauce swirled with pecan nuts.

7. For a Sour Snack: Bear Nibbles 

What: BEAR Yoyos are back with a twist, and added zing. The brand new 100% pure fruit and veg snacks have been given a super twist with the ting of lemon – and still absolutely no added nonsense.

The Lowdown: Super Sour Yoyos are available in three new flavours; Strawberry & Apple, Mango & Apple, and Blackcurrant & Apple. Bear’s recipes only use gently baked whole fruit and veg – with no added sugar, concentrates, gumming agents or any other nasties. What’s more, they contain the same natural sugars as an apple, are one of your five a day, and packed full of natural fibre.

What: With warmer weather on the horizon and overnight oats continuing to be a popular breakfast option, Dorset Cereals’ has created the new Bircher Muesli mix. Inspired by a recipe invented over 100 years ago in Switzerland, Dorset Cereals mill their oats until fine and delicate before adding dried fruit and nuts into the mix to create a wholesome balanced breakfast in just a single serving.

The Lowdown: The Bircher Muesli mix can be used as a base for any type of recipe – whether fruity or nutty.
