Did someone say eggs? Man, we love brunch in London. We know it’s Christmas, but with all that shopping, you’re going to need some rest, too. Put down those credit cards for a moment – here are the best brunch spots to visit this weekend in the city:

Their turkish eggs is their standout dish – poached eggs in whipped yogurt, topped with chilli butter and served with sourdough. For liquid goodness order the one of their Nut-Melks with coconut milk, almond butter, strawberry purée and almond butter. Grab a banana and sea salt Crosstown Doughnut to take away.

2. For a Bottomless Brunch: Hixter Bankside

Eat: All the meat – it’s absolute meat mania here. Tuck into salt beef sandwiches, Eggs Benedict and Cock ‘n’ bull hash with a double yolker (they also have a veggie option of this available). Their De Beauvoir smoked salmon with scrambled Burford Brown eggs will nurse sore heads and those wanting to feel slightly healthy, opt for the brunch salad with Black Cow cheddar fritters. Alongside these brunch dishes, they also served their epic Sunday roasts until 7pm. Yorkshire puddings and endless Bloody Marys go hand in hand.

Where: 16 Great Guildford Street, SE1 0HS

3. For a Reasonable Brunch: Pizza East Shoreditch

Stick to what you know and order the avocado and poached egg on bruschetta. If you’re in the mood for something heavier, go wild and order one of their pizzas. The Prosciutto cotto, wild mushroom and fontina, and the aubergine, smoked mozzarella, pesto and basil pizza is a great shout. The veal meatballs with prosciutto and cream also come highly recommended by us.
