You time is precious. And so is pizza. From tacos to slow and low cooked meats – here’s 5 things you need to eat in London this week. Happy days:

1. For a New Deal: Tienda Roosteria

What: Tuesdays just got a whole lot tastier. Get down to Tienda RoosteriaMarcus Samuelson’s casual all-day Mexican dining spot at The Curtain hotel in Shoreditch for their brand new taco sharing platter, available every Tuesday. On Triple Taco Tuesdays, £40 will get you three tacos and a beer each between a group of four (£10pp), or six tacos and 2 beers between two, for the hungrier and thirstier among us.

Why: Choose any combination of tacos from Tienda’s concise and delicious menu including the Addis (doro wat chicken), Bad Hombre (hot fried chicken), Al Pastor (guajillo pork), Hongo Longo (vegetarian), Barbacoa (lamb) and Baja Fish. The offer is available all-day, every Tuesday from 11am – midnight.

2. For a New Collaboration: Crosstown x Caravan

What: To celebrate the launch of Caravan City in the Bloomberg Arcade, Caravan Coffee Roasters and Crosstown Doughnuts have once again joined forces to create a limited edition coffee flavoured sourdough doughnut. Stop by between 10:30am – 11:30am until 29th October at Caravan City for their special #DoughnutHour where a doughnut will be gifted to the first 100 takeout coffee customers.

Why: The unique doughnut highlights the craft of both producers, combining Crosstown’s signature hybrid sourdough with Caravan Coffee Roaster’s Giraldo Community Coffee, which is produced by the farmers of the Giraldo Community in Antioquia, Colombia. The doughnut features the Giraldo coffee in three ways; a coffee custard filling and coffee icing finished with a dusting of fresh coffee grounds.

3. For a New Autumn Menu: Galley

What: Islington eatery Galley has made a name for itself for being the sort of local restaurant-come-bar every Londoner hopes to have round the corner; a relaxed place where the food is sustainable, seasonal and a modern take   on home cooking. The restaurant has just launched a new menu, and it’s a blinder.

Why: Their new autumn/winter menu boasts punchy plates to start including; steak tartare served with quail egg, pickled endive, capers and truffle mayo; beef shin croquettes; and seared Scottish scallops. For mains think Cornish crab with homemade spaghetti; crispy duck leg confit served with spinach, cherry jus and a fluffy potato cake; 8oz dry age sirloin steak; and grilled octopus and chorizo squid ink risotto.

4. For a New Opening: Flank

What: Transporting his Brighton-born residency to London for the first time, creative young chef Tom Griffiths has created a nose-to-tail menu at his new permanent home for Flank at The Kitchens at Old Spitalfields Market. Here, it’s all about meats cooked low and slow. Hubba Hubba.

Why: The menu consists of three starters, four mains and a selection of sides and sauces all fully prepped and cooked on site. Starters include burnt ends bun with onions and spice; and mains such as aged duck (hung over the flames and glazed); and slow cooked aged beef, braised over fire in offal ragu. Sides shine too like the bone marrow gnocchi and cauliflower cheese. Griffiths is cooking with some of the best beef available in the UK, working with Philip Warren Butchers in Cornwall and Trenchmore Farm in Sussex.

Available whole or by the slice, served to eat in or to go, topping include the classic Margherita and salami, rocket and parmesan, and innovative combinations like the lamb shoulder with savoy cabbage and sumac yoghurt, and kimchi, porcini cream and basil. Natural wines, frizzante prosecco on tap, locally sourced lager and a rotating selection of London craft beers are available alongside seasonal cocktails.
