The new star dish was announced at the Waldorf Astoria New York, where guests and a panel of culinary stars gathered to select the next Taste of Waldorf Astoria from five dishes created in the kitchens of Waldorfs in Berlin, Rome, Edinburgh and beyond. The competition russell up beautiful creations like this, but ultimately the winning dish was something rather unusual indeed…

The dish is the result of a week-long collaboration in Rome between Heinz Beck and Chef David Posey – two heroes of the Waldorf culinary scene. It was chosen by a panel of four judges, including bon appétit Restaurant & Drinks Editor Andrew Knowlton and Nilou Motamed.
