This is a pretty big deal if you know your bars/or just a fan of finely tuned cocktails. New York’s famous Aperitivo bar, Dante NYC is bringing some stateside spirit and liquid creations to our fair city for one week only. Popping up at Madison’s Rooftop Bar from Friday (29th September) for seven days, the award-winning bar will be recreated in the heart of the city, complete with world class cocktails, live entertainment and skyline views.
Dante NYC x Madison Rooftop Bar: The Lowdown
Bringing many of the unique and eye-popping perfect serves that have brought Dante NYC’s innovative bar program global recognition to London for one week only, the Aperitivo Hour is set to be something very special, transporting Madison guests all the way to Greenwich Village, NYC. The pop-up will lead into the World’s 50 Best Bars awards, which takes place in London on 5th October 2017 of which Dante is currently listed as number 34, as well as recently being named Best Restaurant Bar in America by the prestigious Tales of the Cocktail.
The highly talented bars team from Dante NYC and Madison will be welcoming guests to the Aperitivo Hour on the famed rooftop terrace, with spectacular views across the City of London skyline. Celebrating la dolce vita, the pop-up will reflect all the good things that define this easygoing lifestyle of the aperitivo culture and how this has become the most exciting movement in the global cocktail community, with Dante leading this renaissance.
Dante NYC x Madison Rooftop Bar: The Drinks
The drinks menu will feature some of Dante NYC’s greatest hits including their modern classic, the Garibaldi, and the Italiano Sour, with Martini Bitter, Aperol, Strega, Italicus, grapefruit, lilac and egg white. Cocktails from their very popular Negroni Sessions will include the Chocolate Negroni with Fords, Campari, Punt e Mes, crème de cacao, chocolate bitters and valrhona. Joining the lineup will be Rooftop Life – one of two unique serves inspired by Madison’s rooftop scene, created by the Dante NYC team especially for the pop-up, made using Bombay Sapphire, St Germain, bianco vermouth, lime and prosecco.
